Interesting, I’ve walked by this place a number of times and have always been intrigued by the moody looking exterior, yet surprising white crispness and lightness of what’s inside

I’m not a small plates person generally, but I do love a petit dessert

If you’re in the area it’s worth stopping by for, I think I was just expecting something else given how much I’ve seen it pop up on my Instagram. If nothing else go for the dessert!

I’m actually working on a round up featuring all the bakeries in London opened by Michelin star pastry chefs! It will be published within the next week :)

Funny how the dishes nobody is talking about are often the ones that end up defining a meal. The sunflower seed brown butter cakes sound like a perfect example of that.

Right!! I have to admit I’m def influenced by what’s on my feed (it’s hard not to be!) but always try to go off piste for at least one or two dishes to form my own judgement

love your review - i visited Tavern earlier and i've a mixed feelings on my experience too. loved the interiors but it got really smoky from the fire by the time i left, and that was a let down. i love the firebread, cod roe with pig skin and the elderflower icecream; but i found all the dishes too salty for me , especially the merit mushroom and pork loin!
